Natalie's Baptism Invitations

Natalie's Baptism will be on Saturday, June 28th. We wanted to wait to do it until she was a little bit older and for the weather to be nicer. I'm so glad we waited because I think if I had to plan a party within 3 months of her arrival, plus figure out her feeding schedule for that day, I would have had a nervous breakdown. Now, she's so much easier to take care of, I know if I have to feed her or give her a bottle, it's not going to take an hour, and if she doesn't nap all day, it's not the end of the world!

I ordered her invitations on Tiny Prints, which is where I tend to get most of my cards and invitations these days. The information on the below is a little scarce because I deleted any reference to personal information so obviously, the real invitation doesn't have these random gaps:
Front
Back
What do you think? I mailed them in gold envelopes and I also ordered address labels for the back of the envelope. I was going to share the label with you, but then I realized that every single thing on it would be deleted so what's the point? LOL. Oh what the heck, here they are:
My mom is making Natalie's baptism dress, which I can't wait to share with you. I believe I've decided on favors for our guests, and now I just have to figure out what the heck I'm going to wear!

Did/Are you plan/planning a baptism for your little one? I'm a little bit of a fish out of water here so any advice or thoughts would be helpful!

  1. Thoughts and advice? Try to relax and enjoy the day as much as you can. Ask me and anyone else for help. I don't really think you need favors-not for a baptism. But maybe hire a band so we can dance--JKJK! I love the invitations but of course I love anything with Natalie's picture on it.

  2. Jeanette is being baptized on June 1st, she'll be 4 months old then and I too wanted to wait for better weather. I've been a godmother twice and have a large catholic family (lots of aunts and uncles and cousins), we typically go to the baptism at the church and then someone has a party at their house afterwards. Since we are on a tight budget, my mom and dad are hosting the party and we are having a lunch with cake. She's wearing my baptism dress, which I think is really neat and special. It fits her great, thankfully she's built just like I was as a baby, long and lean! I didn't even think about favors!!!! I should probably get around to doing that!

  5. Wow! I love that Amanda and Lauren had their Little Ones wearing the Baptism dresses that they wore. I especially like that Lauren's grandmother made hers. That's what I'm hoping for with the Baptism gown I'm making for Natalie. Thanks for the inspiration Ladies.
