Mom's One Line-a-Day Book

I was reading Allison's blog last week and she mentioned the amazing memory book she is keeping for her daughter, Delainey: the Mom's One Line-a-Day Book.

This book allows you to chronicle little daily notes to your child every day for 5 years. Each year, you can look back on the note you wrote on that day the year or years before it, and is a great way to keep track of all the little and big milestones.
I ordered this right away from amazon, and now it lives on my nightstand. Each night before bed, I jot down a little note of the day's happenings, or my thoughts on the day. It makes me stop and reflect on each day and think about what moment stood out to me the most. I love this idea and am so happy Allison shared the book on her blog! I also think this book is a great baby shower gift because it's so unique!

My mom also kept a notebook of all the really funny things my sister and I would say when we were little. As we got older, my sister and I would sometimes read through the notebook with our parents. I remember literally rolling on the floor laughing at some of the things we said. I will definitely be keeping a similar book of all of Natalie's funny things she says once she is able to talk!

Do you keep anything like this? Will you start now?

  2. I've never heard of something like this-- very cool idea!!

  3. I have one of these, not for mom's but just a one liner. We have so much fun with this- because we have so many funny one liners and I love not forgetting them ! I can't wait to look back on it in 10 years and have the memories flood back! Kisses to Natalie <3 cousin Jessie
