Bumpdate: 19 Weeks

How Far Along: 19 Weeks!

Baby is the size of:  Heirloom tomato

Total weight gain:
10 Pounds

Sleep:
Sleeping great

Walking into Babies R' Us for the first time!
Best Moment of the week: Feeling movements quite a bit this week. It must have been kicks, I'm pretty sure it was kicks - but nothing that I could feel on the outside yet, just little tiny kicks inside. Also, going into baby stores for the first time (Buy, Buy, Baby and Babies R' Us) and having neighbors point out my belly bump!

Worst Moment of the week:
The most realistic dream (or nightmare) of my life. On Wednesday night, I had a dream that I had the baby at 20 weeks. It was a healthy, and full term baby, and the labor took all of 5 minutes. I remember in my dream being like "Yea! It was so easy!" (Oy, I certainly have unrealistic thoughts on this) I thought the timing was great because I was like "Yay! We can take the baby to my parents in Pennsylvania for the weekend!" Until we got home from the hospital and realized we had NOTHING: No car-seat, no crib, no stroller, nothing. Can you tell I'm starting to get nervous about not having things ready in time for the baby?! Also, even though the baby was a day old, it looked like a 2 year old and was eating watermelon and posing for the camera already. In my dream, I had a boy, which I've read means you're having a girl. However, I had a dream a few months back that I had a girl - so now it's just anyone's guess!

Miss Anything:
Herky Jerky Dancing, bahahaha

Food Cravings:
Pizzzza...but what else is new?

Anything make you queasy or sick:
Nope

Have you started to show?
Um...yes.

Gender: Team Green!

Symptoms:
I forgot to talk last week about my numbness! I've had major numbness for two weeks now at the top of my stomach right under my bubbies. It's not completely numb, but a little numb and it feels really weird. I assume it's the skin stretching?? I don't know...
Also, I had one or two days of heartburn. I'm so glad that I'm not 9 months pregnant right now, with the heat wave we're having! The heat this weekend was pretty unbearable!

Workouts:
Prenatal Yoga, a little bit of walking

Mood:
Fine!

Looking Forward to:
More stroller/crib/glider/car-seat shopping!

Maternity Clothes:
My mom and I went to Old Navy and she got me a bunch of great skirts that I should be able to wear post-pregnancy, 3 shirts, and finally my black maternity pants!

Reading:
The Night Circus for book club!

Milestones:
Baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision and touch. Here's a great sentence from my Babycenter app: "A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on the skin to prevent it from pickling in your amniotic fluid." - ookkkeeeey.

Stretchmarks?: Yes :( Using the cocoa butter, but not sure if it's helping.

Rings on or off?
For the most part...still on, but on those really hot and humid days, it can be touch and go.

This week I:
Went to the stores, worked on my registries, signed up for the special delivery program through my Health Insurance! Check with your health insurance programs to see what type of special programs they offer to help you out through your pregnancy!
